About Sequity
Sequity supports scientific institutions to have an impact with genomics and epidemiological data. We help you grow the resources, skills and expertise in your team to define and achieve your own success.
Whilst there are lots of ways to look at data, at Sequity we use our expertise to find the right genomics and epidemiology solutions for you to maximise your impact both locally and globally. We work with you from strategically planning and implementing institutional capacity building initiatives through to supporting your day-to-day activities. Ultimately, our aim is to make ourselves unnecessary- while you revolutionise science and public health.
Check out our services page for ideas for how we can support you, or contact us to have a chat and work out if we're a good fit to work together.

Dr Emma Doughty, PhD
Genomicist and Epidemiologist
Dr Emma Doughty is an infectious disease scientist with over 12 years of experience supporting laboratories across Africa, Asia, South America, and the USA to implement genomics and epidemiology in public health and research.
Emma did her BSc at the University of Birmingham, UK and her PhD using genomics for tuberculosis diagnosis and epidemiology at the University of Warwick, UK and MRC Unit, The Gambia. She later led international capacity-building projects and public health genomics initiatives with over 40 laboratories as a post-doctoral fellow and then at Theiagen Genomics. Emma has diverse experience working with different organisational approaches, sequencing and analysis methods, and an array of pathogens and sample types that uniquely places her to support organisations through a breadth of genomics challenges.
Emma founded Sequity in 2025 to expand her mission to support people globally to have an impact in public health using genomic and epidemiological data. She brings not only her technical expertise, but a strategic and values-driven approach to the work undertaken by Sequity.
